Children’s Book „Leon and Amélie“
On the occasion of Saint-Gobain’s 350th anniversary the General Delegation Central Europe has issued a fascinating book for children and young readers. The story has been written by German author Michael Borlik, specialized on books for children and young adults. Borlik is well-known for his gripping crime and fantastic novels.
The book has been illustrated in cooperation with Andrea Naumann, a graphic designer from Aix-la-Chapelle, while main parts of the illustrations came from children or grandchildren, nieces or nephews of Saint-Gobain employees. A jury of five, headed by Hartmut Fischer, General Delegate for Saint-Gobain Central Europe, picked the most suitable images out of more than 250 artworks.
With a print-run of 16.000 copies the book is already a tremendous success. The book is available in German, Dutch and French language at www.sg-fanshop.de/en.
