For many years the welfare of the employees has been a focus of attention at Saint-Gobain. The Group does everything it can to offer every single employee a career perspective and corresponding further training measures.

In our service-oriented environment the competence of our employees is our greatest capital and our most important distinguishing feature in comparison with our competitors. That is why each year we invest up to 2% of our total personnel expenditure and several million working hours in further training.
 

Diversity

Around 195,000 employees in 64 countries and more than 100 different nationalities are the evidence that we not only talk about diversity, but also put it into practice daily. With zero tolerance of discrimination and a professional and objective selection procedure we do justice to our reputation as the cosmopolitan Saint-Gobain. 20% of our employees are female.

Health & Safety

The welfare of the employees is anchored in the Group’s corporate principles. We pay attention to a healthy and safe working environment and the rights of the employees. In addition, the five codes of behaviour specify how one should behave professionally within the Group and humanly and socially in dealings with other colleagues.
