CULTURE & VALUES
The world is changing at a rapid pace with far-reaching effects on society and our markets. These changes are causing us to rethink our business models and question our way of working.
Our attitudes reflect who we are - in other words, our DNA - and the direction we need to move in.
These are our five Saint-Gobain Attitudes:
CULTIVATE CUSTOMER INTIMACY: Focus on our customers

The five Saint-Gobain Attitudes concern all employees of the Group. They reflect both our heritage and our desire to create fascinating living spaces and improve our daily lives. By putting our attitudes into practice every day, we can make our goal a reality.
At Saint-Gobain, we have defined principles that apply to all employees worldwide and are lived as fundamental components of our values:

United Nations Global Compact
Saint-Gobain has been a member of the United Nations Global Compact since 2003 and signed the United Nations Global Compact Declaration of Support for Human Rights in 2008.
The Covenant, created in July 2000 following an idea of the then Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan, is an international initiative to which several hundred companies, non-governmental organizations and civil institutions (trade unions, schools, UN agencies) have joined. In doing so, they undertake to adhere to ten basic principles relating to human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and the fight against corruption.
Based on this international network, the aim is to jointly contribute to the development of a humane and sustainable economy.
In 2009, Saint-Gobain joined two other initiatives that complement the Global Compact: The Caring for Climate initiative to address climate change and the CEO Water Mandate to protect water resources as part of the UN 'Millennium Development Goals'.
We love what we do. That's why we're so committed to developing better products for the changing world.
We also design our working environment so that it fits perfectly into our lives. Saint-Gobain offers its employees meaningful support and attractive benefits.
