Five questions to Albert
Albert, Export Manager at Saint-Gobain Weber
Please introduce yourself.
I am Albert and I am 34 years old. Since 2011 I have been working at Saint-Gobain, first at Rigips in Austria. Since October 2017 I have been responsible for the export department at Saint-Gobain Weber Germany. We export worldwide (focus on Europe/Asia) construction chemical product and facade systems.
What do you think is so special about working at Saint-Gobain?
Definitely that it is a large, international company, the mix of marketing and sales, the many opportunities for development and of course being out there with the customer.
How do you notice that you are working for an innovative company that cares about the living spaces of the future?
We are always looking for new solutions for our customers and are proud that one in four Saint-Gobain products sold did not even exist five years ago. "Anything is possible" is our motto, we always want to be more innovative than the competition. Sustainable energy savings greatly reduce costs as well as pollutants and CO2 emissions - which is of course also a key issue in our dealings with customers.
What makes your career at Saint-Gobain so special?
Certainly the internationality and the possibility to use my competences in sales and to expand them further. I originally started at Saint-Gobain in Austria, now I am sent to Germany as an Ex-pat for 5 years.
What kind of people do you think should apply to Saint-Gobain?
We have a focus on diversity, so anyone who wants to work for a company that is a leader in living space design and anyone who wants to work in sustainable construction can apply. We are extremely open-minded, fair and collegial with each other. Flexibility is given. Of course, the service must be provided - but we are happy to master this challenge together!
