Master thesis in the field of Digital & Electronics

Your tasks:

  • Development of multi-physics simulations of electric vehicle battery systems undergoing thermal runaway and under normal use, e.g. thermal management and cell swelling

  • Prepare and perform simulations (Design of Experiments, parameter studies, sensitivity analysis)

  • Analyse results and summarize key findings

  • Carry out and synthesize literature research in the field of battery modelling

  • Derive optimisations of our products and their integration into the battery module / system

Your profile:

  • Registered student (m/f/d) in the field of Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computational Mechanics/Engineering, Physics or similar

  • Profound knowledge of modelling and simulation of thermal, electrical and/or mechanical systems is necessary

  • Basic knowledge of simulation software is an advantage (e.g. Abaqus, Ansys, Matlab, Nastran, …)

  • Experience in programming is required, e.g. Python, C++, Matlab or similar

  • Basic knowledge of battery technology and electrical engineering is beneficial
